Community volunteers gathered to plant native grasses (beachgrass, Switchgrass, Little Blue Stem) and trees (Cottonwoods, Eastern Red Cedar) on the Port Burwell municipal beach. The North Shore Resilience Project area reaches from Port Glasgow to Long Point, spanning seven municipalities each with their own unique connection to the coast. Each community within the project area is an important part of the littoral cell, and efforts to improve beach resilience will be implemented in all geographic areas.
